The dealer’s button is the plastic disk or buck, which is passed clockwise at the table. The button indicates the nominal dealer. The dealer also deals the cards to the players. The buttons in live poker are normally a white plastic disk.
In some games, a player is given a number of chips that they can use for bets. They can then take new cards from the top of the deck, or place money into the pot. The player’s chips are then placed in the center of the table.
A three-card brag is a variant of poker that was popular during the American Revolution. In this game, the player who has the best five-card hand, along with a card of their choice, can bet a fixed amount of money. The other players can raise this bet to the fixed amount or match it.
